A letter from President

Dear visitor,

as the newly elected president of iarigai, I would like to build upon the outstanding work done by Helene Juhola, our immediate past president.

iarigai is a world-wide association of 50 members from 21 countries, supporting print and media research by bringing together research organizations -institutes, companies and universities. Given the fast and continuous evolution in the field, the need for a high level research is increasing tremendously. The scope of the Association is therefore to promote the quality of scientific advances in the domain and to increase the opportunities of sharing the knowledge and experiences.

The Association organizes the annual International research conferences, during which recents research results are highlighted and formal and informal social interactions are facilitated. Besides, the annual Strategic networking meetings are occasions of strategic reflections on the links research and industry. Respecting the needs of its members and the wider research community, the Journal of Print and Media Technology Research was created as a peer-reviewed quarterly publication. The first issue first saw the light of the day in September 2011. New projects and new ideas are currently in progress.

Serving our existing members and welcoming new ones, anticipating the future evolutions in the field and serving the current needs of the industry are the challenges we have to face within the coming years. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Anne Blayo,
President
