With 48 members from 21 countries, iarigai is a worldwide association supporting print and media research by bringing together research organizations - institutes, companies and universities, for the benefit of industry and society. Serving our existing members and welcoming new ones, anticipating the future evolutions in the field, while meeting the present needs of the industry, are the challenges we have to face in the coming years.
2014 was marked by deep transition in the Board. After serving iarigai 11 years as a Secretary General, Mladen Lovreček will leave at the end of this year. In parallel, after 14 years of engagement in the Association, Professor Nils Enlund, co-founder and Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Print and Media Technology Research, will also leave his position. Mladen and Nils have been exceptionally committed to the development of iarigai. We unanimously acknowledge their outstanding work and wish both of them a long, happy and peaceful retirement.
Fortunately, we are pleased to welcome our new Secretary General, Dr. Branka Lozo (University of Zagreb, Croatia) and wish her all the successes in her new responsible position.
We are also very glad to welcome Dr. Gorazd Golob (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), currently member of the Board, appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Print and Media Technology Research. Ms. Markéta Držková (University of Pardubice, Czech Republic) is also confirmed as an Associate editor of the Journal of Print and Media Technology Research. We wish this new team much successes in editing and developing the journal.
A new year is coming now, with promises of new advances and developments for our Association.
We look forward to seeing you in Helsinki at the 42nd iarigai conference in September 2015.
